It appears to be a be a pink or rose colored granite (?). It weighs 60 grams and has an original collection label that has a number - 3(?)547 partially obscured (either an accession number or date) and "Greene Co. 3-3/4" long and 1" wide at it's widest point. This example is finely polished, highly symmetrical, and perfectly tapered to a flat small end that features incised 'ring' from which it is currently mounted on a lucite stand.It is approx. Rare Large Super Fine California Nail Head Charm Stone Plummet COA Arrowheads. This rare relic is made from a great piece of hardstone and is really well made overall. This piece measures 3.5 inches long and is 1.3/8 inches wide across the body of the piece. Research indicates the were used as charms, talismans or another possible use would have been as weights in net fishing activities, many being found along rivers. This very well made green and black hardstone plummet/ Charmstone was found in Kings Co, California near the Tulare Lake site in the 1930's.
